Summary
Join Neptune as our first Senior QA Engineer and ensure the delivery of high-quality software through thorough manual and automated testing. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute effective test strategies, identify and document defects, and contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes. We are building an MLOps standard for data scientists, and you will play a key role in ensuring the quality of our lightweight experiment tracker platform. Your responsibilities will include identifying gaps in our testing suite, utilizing manual and automated tests, integrating QA into our development lifecycle, and developing comprehensive test plans. Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in manual testing methodologies and techniques
- Ability to take ownership in creating comprehensive test plans and test cases
- Customer-centric approach - you prioritize customer satisfaction and ensure that testing efforts align with user expectations and product goals
- Proficiency in at least one automated testing tool or framework (e.g., WebdriverIO, Selenium, Cypress, Playwright)
- Intermediate programming skills and understanding of best practices in writing maintainable and scalable automation code
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git preferably)
- Openness to mentoring others and teaching best QA practices to the team members
- Fluency in spoken and written English
Responsibilities
- Identify and address gaps in the current testing suite
- Utilize a mix of manual and automated tests to ensure a comprehensive testing coverage
- Integrate the QA process into Neptune's software development lifecycle making sure the defects are identified and reported in a clear and actionable way
- Develop and document test plans and strategies to cover all critical user paths
