Summary
Join Datacom's team as a skilled QA Engineer specializing in API testing and automation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the quality of API and web-based applications. You will perform manual and automated API testing, contribute to automation testing frameworks, and work with various tools like Octopus, TeamCity, JIRA, and GitHub. Requirements
- Strong experience in API testing (manual & automation)
- Proficiency in C# and API automation frameworks like Reqnroll (SpecFlow)
- Hands-on experience with SQL querying and Entity Framework (EF) for database interactions
- Familiarity with deployment tools (Octopus) and automation test execution (TeamCity)
- Experience with Git (GitHub) for version control and code management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for debugging issues through message flows
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams
Responsibilities
- Perform API testing (manual and automated) to ensure application reliability
- Work on web testing in collaboration with the web team
- Take ownership of automation tasks and contribute to automation testing frameworks
- Write and execute test cases, perform debugging, and ensure quality standards
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders in an Agile/Scrum environment
- Manage deployment processes using tools like Octopus and execute automated tests via TeamCity
- Utilize JIRA for sprint management and issue tracking
- Work with GitHub for version control, including branching and merging strategies
- Query and manage databases using MS SQL Server and PostgreSQL (DBeaver)
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Microservices, Unit Testing, Component Testing, and End-to-End (E2E) Testing
- Familiarity with Lens (for viewing Docker images/logs) and Queue Explorer (for message queue debugging)
