Requirements

  • 7+ years of work experience in software quality assurance
  • 3+ years focus on mobile testing
  • 2+ years with automation
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in computer science or a related discipline
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
  • Proficiency in writing test plans, creating test cases, test data, and managing/tracking defect logs
  • Extensive experience in testing web and mobile applications
  • Hands-on experience in test automation tools for mobile applications
  • Experience with CI/CD tools to ensure continuous testing
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work both independently and on a wide variety of teams
  • Passion for making bulletproof applications and improving education through technology
  • Self-motivated, detail oriented, proactive and collaborative
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the whole lifecycle of software development from planning to release
  • Review business requirements and develop test plans, test cases, test estimations, and test execution reports
  • Perform functionality, regression, integration, UI, smoke, exploratory, stress and performance testing
  • Manage all communications related to QA status on a daily basis and report potential risks during all stages of development lifecycle
  • Work closely with development and product teams to resolve any issues that arise out of the testing process
  • Analyze test results and facilitate resolution of issues
  • Iterate on existing testing processes and standards to improve efficiency and accuracy

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of JIRA, Unix, SQL, JavaScript, CSS, source control, and mobile device development is a plus
  • Scripting or programming experience is a plus
