Senior Quality Engineer

Summary

Join Ceros as a Senior Quality Engineer and play a pivotal role in ensuring the flawless performance of our innovative digital experience platform. You will be embedded within product teams, collaborating with engineers, designers, and product managers to develop and execute comprehensive testing strategies. This is not a traditional QA role; you will actively participate in code development, design discussions, and decision-making processes. Leveraging your expertise in test automation frameworks and methodologies, you will mentor team members and introduce innovative testing approaches. Requirements

• 5+ years of experience manually testing with an agile software team
• 5+ years of experience writing automated tests
• Expert in TypeScript or JavaScript
• Comfortable with the Linux command line
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tooling
• Knowledge of the different types of software testing
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Responsibilities

• Cares deeply about our customers’ experience
• Works well embedded on a cross-functional team
• Leads the development of the next iteration of our test automation frameworks
• Creates and prioritizes a backlog for framework tech debt and enhancements
• Leads automation-focused technical training sessions
• Creates and executes manual and automated tests (unit, API, end-to-end)
• Sets and enforces automation best practices across teams
• Leads code reviews and pair programming sessions
• Researches framework enhancements and prototype solutions to gauge their usefulness
• Actively mentors teammates

Preferred Qualifications

• Load testing web applications
• Experience or a strong interest in AI-related tools like ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, and other cutting-edge AI applications
• Performance testing javascript-based applications in the browser
• Web application security
• Experience testing a visual design application of some kind
