Senior React Engineer

Summary

Join CompanyCam as a Senior React Engineer and collaborate with a remote-first team to build and enhance our photo documentation app. Work alongside engineers, designers, and product managers on various projects, from large-scale initiatives to bug fixes. Contribute to the evolution of the engineering team's culture and processes, particularly in the client engineering discipline. Actively participate in product discovery, helping to define the direction and feasibility of product changes. Requirements

• Strong experience with React
• React Native or native iOS or Android experience
• 5 or more years of experience working as a professional developer
• Demonstrated experience in leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) to build, enhance, or optimize tools and features within products, driving innovation and improving user experience
• Mentored team members and led the implementation of best practices and process improvements to enhance team performance and project outcomes
• Reside permanently and currently somewhere in the U.S

Responsibilities

• Work alongside other engineers, designers, and product managers to tackle everything from huge company initiatives to modest but important bug fixes, from start to finish
• Collaborate with your product team on discovery, helping to assess the direction and feasibility of product changes
• Actively contribute to the evolution of the culture and processes of a growing engineering team, especially our client engineering discipline (this is what we call the devs who work on the front end)
• Help make sure our codebases scale healthily
• Help make sure our devs do too

Preferred Qualifications

• Day to day, you’ll spend 90%+ of your time working in React and React Native, but, of course, that’s not all you’ll work with
• Experience with the following technologies are not required (we’re cool with some on-the-job learning), you will see them with varying levels of frequency
• GraphQL & REST (often)
• Apollo & Redux (often)
• Ruby on Rails
• Android Studio & Xcode (mainly to run the mobile app)
• Java & Objective-C (approaching rarely, but we do have some native modules)
• Experience launching applications that use AI in some form inside of the app

Benefits

• This is a salaried position at CompanyCam
• Our salary range for this position is $155,000 - $190,000 per year and is based on experience
