Responsibilities
- Identify analysis priorities: Lead efforts with teams across Aledade and external partners to proactively identify and clarify important strategic and tactical questions for data analysis and experiments
- Design and execute analysis projects: Design and lead descriptive, predictive, and/or causal inference statistical analyses for large scale projects and complex program areas
- Design and program code to integrate, evaluate, and analyze diverse data sources
- Perform data analysis and statistical modeling to generate actionable insights and solutions
- Supervise junior colleagues in programming and model implementation for large scale projects
- Translate and communicate analysis results: Form strategic and tactical recommendations for leaders across Aledade teams based on evidence
- Lead efforts across teams to synthesize results from complex analyses, identify implications of analysis results and translate findings into action
- Lead and supervise development and presentation of analytic products that accurately communicate insights from the data and inspire action
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SQL for data manipulation and R or Python for statistical programming
- Experience with healthcare data sources such as medical or pharmacy claims, electronic health record, event notification, clinical, and patient reported data, and working in a complex enterprise data warehouse
- Masters or PhD in health services research, mathematics/statistics, epidemiology, biostatistics, econometrics, computer science or related field
- Excellent quantitative analysis abilities, grounded in econometrics, health services research, epidemiology, statistics, or related field
- Demonstrated ability to conduct nuanced analyses to produce accurate and unbiased results and tell the story of those results in data visualizations, presentations, and reports
- Attention to detail, particularly with version control (e.g. Git), quality assurance, documentation, and building repeatable processes
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage competing deadlines and priorities
- Values people with differing backgrounds and perspectives; supports effective interpersonal and intercultural engagement
- Well-versed in Equity and Inclusion language, concepts, and principles (i.e. health disparities, social drivers of health, implicit bias) and able to communicate and explain them to larger audiences
- Committed to serving teammates and patients with empathy and respect
- Ability to manage research projects through the entire life cycle, from design through implementation, documentation, and presentation of findings
- Experience with causal inference methods including designing and/or conducting experimental and quasi-experimental studies (e.g., randomized trials; regression discontinuity, difference-in-differences, instrumental variables, and matched designs)
- Thinks beyond their immediate team and contributes to making Aledade holistically better (active engagement in employee resource groups, DE&I initiatives, book/journal clubs, facilitating training, leading roundtables, etc.)
- Knowledge of standard methods for measuring health care utilization, spending, quality, and related outcomes
