Senior Revenue Accountant

Summary

Join Instacart's dedicated retailer revenue accounting team as a Senior Revenue Accountant and play a pivotal role in overseeing revenue recognition in compliance with ASC 606. You will be responsible for executing month-end close processes, preparing financial reports, and ensuring SOX compliance. This critical role requires strong analytical skills and attention to detail, fostering process improvements and supporting automation initiatives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Deal Desk, Finance, Billing, and Financial Systems. Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in revenue accounting
• Experience conducting ASC 606 contract reviews
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently to resolve complex issues

Responsibilities

• Execute month-end close entries and account reconciliations
• Prepare workbooks to support revenue disclosures in external reporting
• Prepare ASC 606 checklists for new and amendment contracts
• Maintain and consistently improve SOX compliant control environment
• Support growth of new product offerings and pricing models by communicating revenue impacts to key stakeholders and building or updating operational procedures and reporting to support new models
• Support and drive process improvement and automation initiatives

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in drafting accounting memos/policies
• Experience with Alteryx
• Proficient with Oracle
