Senior Rust Engineer

Summary

The job is for a developer to work on Hyperlane protocol, a tool that allows anyone to add interoperability capabilities to any chain. The role involves designing and developing the core protocol, building security models, integrations with leading blockchains, Interchain Applications, and providing technical support.

Requirements

• 4+ years building and maintaining high availability systems
• 2+ years of experience working with Ethereum or EVM compatible smart contract platforms
• 2+ years working with Rust in a professional setting

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and development of Hyperlane's core protocol
• Develop and optimize Hyperlane's interchain security models for a variety of blockchain environments (Layer 1s, rollups, app-chains)
• Build and maintain integrations with leading blockchains and rollups
• Collaborate on the development of Interchain Applications
• Provide technical support and guidance to developers building on our platform

• Ability to operate independently under uncertainty
• Strong sense of initiative and ownership
• A crypto native
• BONUS: Experience working with non-EVM based smart contract platforms
