Summary
Join AbbVie's application security program as a Senior Security Engineer. This role centers on designing, building, and automating new components of the application security program. You will leverage expertise in application development, secure software development, scripting, and data analytics to automate intelligence artifact collection, normalization, analysis, and assessment product generation. The position involves building new capabilities, integrating with DevSecOps tooling, and collaborating with stakeholders. This role is fully remote and can be based anywhere in the U.S. AbbVie offers a comprehensive benefits package.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree with 7 years experience OR Master's Degree with 6 years experience OR PhD with 2 years experience in Information Security
- Experience building and implementing apps in a production-like environment
- Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, or other scripting languages
- Experience with Software composition analysis / software bill of materials
- Experience with Cloud platforms and automation tools (i.e. Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
- Experience with Container and platform technology
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Exposure to communicating at different levels of an organization
Responsibilities
- Design new components of the application security program
- Build new components of the application security program
- Automate new components of the application security program
- Leverage expertise in AppDev, secure software development, scripting and data analytics to automatically collect, normalize and analyze intelligence artifacts
- Automate the generation of an assessment product supporting different intelligence requirements
- Grow a foundational part of the application security program through building out new capabilities
- Integrate with both new and existing DevSecOps tooling
- Partner with stakeholders across the security group and major technology teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in cybersecurity or DevSecOps
- Strong interest in developing cybersecurity expertise
