Senior Security Engineer

Summary

Join EarnIn's growing Information Security organization as a Senior Security Engineer. This remote position offers a competitive salary ($186,300 - $227,700 + equity + benefits) and the opportunity to contribute to a company pioneering earned wage access. You will monitor and remediate security threats, implement security improvements, and collaborate with engineering teams. The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in cloud and enterprise security, along with proficiency in AWS, Docker/Kubernetes, and various security tools. Requirements

• MS or Bachelor in Computer Science or equivalent desired
• 6+ Years of industry experience
• Proficiency in AWS
• Docker / Kubernetes experience is required
• Knowledge in any programming language: preferably Python
• Indepth knowledge of Threat/Intrusion Detection, Vulnerability Management & remediation techniques
• Experience with enterprise access solutions: Okta, Onelogin, ping identity etc
• Experience with endpoint zero trust and DLP solutions

Responsibilities

• Monitor active threats, analyze them, and devise a remediation plan
• Monitor, Audit, Detect, and Remediate critical Security exposures in Infrastructure
• Become a recognized security expert in multiple specialty areas
• Respond to all security incidents and manage end-to-end incident response lifecycle
• Implement security technical and process improvements
• Implement automation for security tasks such as audit, metrics collection, and reporting
• Maintain strong awareness of events in the external community to identify threats and opportunities for enhancement
• Work cross-functionally with engineering teams to architect secure solutions
• Evaluate, test, implement, and support third-party security tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Security orchestration, automation and response experience is a plus
• Hands-on experience with security log management tools; familiarity with big data tools for log analysis is a plus
• Terraform experience is a plus
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks including ISO 27001, SOX, PCI, SOC2, NIST, etc
• Experience in the financial services industry preferred
