Senior Security Engineer, Remote - Germany

Summary

The job is for a Security Engineer in Grafana Labs' Platform Security squad. The role involves providing automation and decision making around underlying CSP and compute security features for Grafana Cloud, writing and shipping code, and helping other engineers make the best security decisions.

Requirements

• Comfortable working with engineers and management structures
• Experience with remote-first company communication
• Eagerness to learn and grow
• Holistic approach to development
• Experience with Platform team's primary languages: Go, Python, and Shell
• Familiarity with CSP IAM
• Experience with cloud security posture management (CSPM)
• Infrastructure as Code with Terraform/Crossplane
• Familiarity with Kubernetes administration - experience with Tanka is cool
• Experience in threat modeling, secure architecture reviews, and security tabletop exercises

Responsibilities

• Provide automation and decision making around underlying CSP and compute security features for Grafana Cloud
• Write and ship code to simplify secure decision making for engineers by providing pre-configured, secure templates and embedding security best practices into development tools
• Help the rest of our engineers contributing to Grafana Cloud make the best security decisions possible for all the products we build, through security reviews and advisory

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with Grafana Labs' Infrastructure as Code tool: grafana/tanka

Benefits

• Base compensation range in Spain: € 78,224 - € 97,780. Actual compensation may vary based on level, experience, and skillset as assessed in the interview process
