Senior Security Engineer

Summary

Join GuidePoint Security as a Security Implementation Engineer (SOAR) and be part of a team that provides trusted cybersecurity expertise, solutions, and services to top organizations. As a SOAR, you will be materially involved in the complete security technologies opportunity lifecycle, from pre-sales through delivery, with the freedom and control over how engagements are scoped and delivered.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of security engineering experience in the Information Security industry OR as a technical lead for an internal Information Security program
• Splunk Phantom Certified Admin and/or Palo Alto Networks Certified Security Automation Engineer a plus
• SOC or operations experience
• Experience with other Information Security solutions including DLP, NAC, SASE, NGFW, EDR, XDR, SIEM
• Experience authoring security runbooks, policy, and best practice documentation

Responsibilities

• Palo Alto xSOAR and/or Splunk Phantom architecture, implementation, and troubleshooting
• Proficiency developing log ingestion and aggregation strategies
• Expertise developing SOC and security-focused content and automation
• Familiarity with key security events on common IT platforms
• General networking and security troubleshooting (firewalls, routing, NAT, etc.)
• Scripting and development skills (BASH, Perl, Python or Java) with strong knowledge of regular expressions
• Ability to autonomously prioritize and successfully deliver across a portfolio of projects
• Up to 20% travel may be required in our Mid-Atlantic region. Security Engineers work from remote/virtual when not visiting client locations
