Summary
Join Intelerad as a Sr. Security Engineer and safeguard our patient health information across various platforms, including Managed Service Offerings (MSO), public cloud environments, and corporate IT systems. You will be a key player in evolving our security architecture and solutions, both cloud-based and on-premises. Contribute to a strong security culture by providing security expertise during infrastructure development. Lead security projects, improve security best practices, and manage vendor relationships. This role requires a degree in Cybersecurity or a related field, 5+ years of IT experience (4+ years focused on security), and expertise in various security domains.
Requirements
- Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science or equivalent
- 5+ yearsβ experience in IT with at least 4 years with a focus on security
- Strong sense of ownership and dedication to results
- Approaches challenges as opportunities and sees every day as an opportunity to become a little bit better
- Team player with high levels of emotional intelligence, that can work with and influence others without direct authority
- A proactive approach to spotting problems, areas of improvement, and bottlenecks
- Ability to adapt to working with a wide array of technologies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate technical subjects to a broad range of stakeholders
- Attention to detail
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities
- Ability to independently manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with security and compliance frameworks such as, ISO27001, SOC2 etc
- Experience with Risk Assessments
- Advanced up-to-date knowledge of security products
- Advanced Knowledge in adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures
- Experience Implementing and maintaining Microsoft 365 environments
- Basic knowledge of all and expert knowledge in multiple areas
- SIEM and Security Monitoring
- IDS/IPS & Firewalls
- Endpoint Security
- Windows and Linux Security & Hardening
- Internet & Network Security
- Cloud Security
- Email Security
- Vulnerability Management
- Python, Bash, PowerShell or other scripting language
Responsibilities
- Participates in security architecture planning for both on-premises and cloud-based solutions
- Provides expert advice to technical teams (such as Infrastructure and corporate IT) and acts as an Information Security subject matter expert
- Conducts security threat and risk assessments on a regular basis
- Supports the interpretation of risk assessment results
- Works with team technical teams on the assessment and prioritization of security related tasks
- Participates in the incident response team as needed
- Design, Build and Operate key security controls and platforms such as Endpoint Security, Cloud Security, Internet and Network Security and Email Security solutions
- Leads security projects and initiatives
- Improves the adoption of security best practices across the organization
- Manages relationships with security vendor and partner
