Requirements
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Deep understanding of firewalls, intrusion detection systems, encryption, and security protocols
- Hands-on experience with log management, authentication systems, and compliance audits
- Knowledge of database and operating system security best practices
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate security strategies and findings
- Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in information security or related fields
- Experience in building and maintaining security systems
- Practical experience with firewalls, intrusion detection, anti-virus software, authentication systems, and security monitoring tools
Responsibilities
- Design and implement security architectures for software and network environments
- Conduct risk analysis, vulnerability assessments, and security audits to identify potential threats
- Develop and enforce company-wide IT security best practices
- Monitor security logs for indicators of compromise and update SIEM detection rules
- Implement security automation (SOAR) solutions to proactively block threats
- Provide guidance on threat modeling to engineering teams
- Manage security incidents, perform post-event analysis, and enhance incident response processes
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and security policies
- Recommend and implement security enhancements and tools to strengthen defenses
Preferred Qualifications
- 8+ years of relevant experience
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or similar
