Requirements
- 4+ years of proven experience in SEO outreach, backlink acquisition, and content partnerships, with a strong track record of securing high-quality backlinks and brand mentions
- Deep understanding of SEO principles, particularly related to link building, organic traffic growth, and content strategies that attract links
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to craft compelling outreach messages and pitches
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple outreach campaigns, partnerships, and content initiatives simultaneously
- Proficiency with SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, or similar platforms
- Experience in developing and executing strategic outreach plans that align with business goals and enhance brand awareness
- Ability to provide strategic insights into content creation to support link acquisition and brand mention strategies
- Self-motivated and proactive, able to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members in a remote environment
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
- Creative thinker who can identify unique opportunities for collaboration and growth
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy to acquire high-quality backlinks from authoritative, relevant websites in our niche
- Identify and prioritize potential partners, publications, and influencers for backlink and brand mention opportunities
- Obtain meaningful brand mentions that elevate Teal's visibility and align with our product, mission, and audience
- Foster relationships with key industry players to amplify Teal's brand presence
- Recommend types of content that attract links and attention, such as research studies, data-driven pieces, surveys, and insightful editorial content
- Collaborate with the content team to create link-worthy content that supports our link acquisition and brand awareness goals
- Conduct personalized outreach to target websites, creators, and influencers to secure quality backlinks and brand mentions
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with external partners that align with our brand values
- Work independently and collaboratively to develop innovative strategies that strengthen our organic presence
- Share insights, ideas, and strategies with the team to continuously improve our outreach efforts
- Monitor and report on backlink acquisition progress, including link quality, link velocity, and impact on SEO and brand awareness metrics
- Utilize SEO tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush to analyze backlink profiles, identify opportunities, and monitor competitor backlinks
- Address opportunities such as fixing broken backlinks, reclaiming lost links, and updating redirected links to enhance our backlink profile
- Keep up-to-date with industry developments, Google algorithm changes, and best practices in SEO, link building, and content marketing
- Adapt strategies to ensure effectiveness in the evolving SEO landscape
Preferred Qualifications
- Existing relationships with relevant media outlets, publications, or influencers in the career development or job search niche
- Experience with technical SEO, including fixing broken links and optimizing 301 redirects
- Background in digital PR or content partnerships that extend beyond link building
- Familiarity with Webflow and experience collaborating closely with content teams
- Experience in a startup environment, particularly in B2C SaaS companies
- Knowledge of email automation tools and ability to set up and optimize outreach workflows
- Proficiency with analytics platforms like Google Analytics for tracking the impact of outreach efforts
- Ability to contribute to broader growth marketing strategies and initiatives
