Senior Server Engineer

Summary

Join Encora as a Senior Server Engineer and be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable and efficient applications. Lead technical projects, mentor junior engineers, and continuously improve software development practices. This remote position is based in Peru, Colombia, Costa Rica, or Bolivia. You will focus on backend services, microservices, and APIs, ensuring code quality, scalability, and performance. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and extensive software development experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
• Extensive experience in software development with a focus on designing and building scalable applications
• Professional/ Advanced English skills
• 3+ years of professional experience in backend development using C# and Python
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS
• Experience with RESTful APIs, WebSockets, and microservices
• Proficient with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB)
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services, microservices, and APIs
• Implement server-side logic, business rules, and data management strategies
• Ensure code quality, scalability, and performance in production environments
