Summary

Join SandboxAQ as a Senior Signal Processing Engineer and develop cutting-edge signal processing algorithms for a state-of-the-art magnetic navigation system. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, design algorithms to remove noise from sensor data, create digital twins for realistic noise modeling, and continuously refine models for accuracy. This role requires a strong foundation in signal processing, Python programming, and experience with time-series data analysis. Requirements

  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree in a relevant field with 5+ years software development in a rapidly scaling startup or research setting
  • Strong foundation in signal processing concepts, including Fourier analysis, filtering, modulation, and spectral estimation
  • Strong foundation in Python, with experience in numerical/scientific Python (e.g. NumPy, SciPy, etc)
  • Hand-on experience with time-series data analysis and sensor data processing
  • Experience with machine learning techniques for signal processing applications
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or collaboratively
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguous situations
  • U.S. Citizenship is required due to USG contract requirements

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement advanced algorithms for signal denoising, noise reduction, and feature extraction from time series data
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to apply signal processing techniques to real-world sensor data problems
  • Conduct experiments and simulations to evaluate and optimize the performance of denoising algorithms
  • Explore and integrate machine learning methods to enhance signal processing techniques and achieve better noise reduction
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate learnings into broader system architectures
  • Contribute to the development of technical documentation, including specifications, design documents, and test plans

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masterโ€™s or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field
  • Experience with C/C++ for higher-performance or embedded systems
  • Experience with cloud deployment utilities (e.g. AWS/GCP/etc)
  • Experience in a research environment
  • Background in aviation
