Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Summary

The job is for an Infrastructure Engineer at Pex, a digital rights technology company located in Europe. The role involves building, managing, and monitoring extensive cloud infrastructure, modernizing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines, and embodying the DevOps mindset and culture. The ideal candidate has experience with scalable infrastructure, distributed databases, NoSQL DBs, POSIX ecosystem, major cloud services, Kubernetes, Helm, Flux (GitOps), infrastructure automation tools like Ansible, networking principles, kernel and network tuning, and solid communication skills.

Requirements

• Experience building scalable infrastructure
• Experience with distributed databases
• Experience with NoSQL DBs (such as Apache Cassandra), or with key-value stores (such as Foundation DB, RabbitMQ, Pulsar, Kafka, or Redis)
• Longtime exposure to the POSIX ecosystem
• Intimate knowledge of one of the major cloud services
• Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, Flux (GitOps)
• Experience with infrastructure automation tools like Ansible
• Solid understanding of networking principles and TCP/IP
• Experience with kernel and network tuning
• Solid written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Build, manage and monitor our extensive cloud infrastructure
• Modernize and optimize our CI/CD pipelines

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Foundation DB
• Interest or experience with message queuing systems like PubSub, SQS, or Apache Pulsar
• Experience with time series databases (like Influx DB, Prometheus or Victoria Metrics)
