Remote Senior Software Engineer

Summary

Join the Listings Backend team at Airbnb as a Senior Software Engineer and contribute to enabling Host journey success by implementing backend functionality to power Listing platforms LYS and MYS. Collaborate with Client, Product, and Design teams to define requirements and bring them to life.

Requirements

• 6+ years industry experience
• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree, preferably in CS, or equivalent experience
• Experience in building and scaling high-quality and high-traffic products (or systems)
• Ability to evaluate technical approaches and design product solutions to solve real-world problems
• Ability to drive alignment, manage projects and effectively collaborate with stakeholders
• Mentorship to junior developers

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Client and Product/Design teams to align on product requirements
• Lead the scoping phase, the technical requirements and the implementation of the new functionalities
• Build efficient and reusable backend components, with high quality, while making sure to maintain performance and scalable systems
• Mentor and support other engineers in the team or in related teams
