Join Babylist's Babylist Health team as a passionate Fullstack Software Engineer. Launched in October 2022, Babylist Health offers a user-friendly and transparent way to purchase breast pumps through insurance, with future expansion into broader pregnancy, child, and new parent health offerings. This distributed team is responsible for scaling technical systems and creating a user-friendly storefront. You will lead business-critical projects and make key decisions about system growth and scaling. The role involves collaborating with the Product team to create new health features, leading team projects, mentoring team members, demonstrating strong systems thinking, building scalable systems, and becoming a subject matter expert in health services. Requirements
- A high-performing engineer with 6+ years of experience and a proven track record of delivering end-to-end solutions that drive business growth
- An exceptional problem solver
- Skilled and experienced in Ruby on Rails and React
- Possess a growth mindset, excellent communication skills, and a hunger to learn new things
- Able to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, with a collaborative approach to problem-solving
- Capable of strong execution, shaping and delivering small projects independently, and have good systems thinking
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with our Product team to lead creation of new features in health, including product education and comparison tools, automating user support flows, and expanding our offerings of goods and services via health insurance
- Shape and lead execution of team cycle projects
- Mentor other team members through design and architecture planning, code reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions
- Demonstrate strong systems thinking and curiosity, identifying opportunities to improve our product, technical systems, or ways of working
- Build systems to scale Babylist Health to $200M in revenue and beyond over the next 3 years
- Become a subject matter expert within our health services, defining how these services and features will grow and scale
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in e-commerce, healthcare payments, or consumer applications
