Senior Software Engineer

Summary

Join Centric Marketing Intelligence™ as a Senior Software Engineer and contribute to the development and improvement of web applications used by clients worldwide. You will be part of the Product Engineering Team, focusing on building beautiful, fast, and user-friendly interfaces (frontend) and fast, scalable, and well-structured code (backend). Utilize cutting-edge open-source technologies, including Vue.js, Quasar, Python, Django, and PostgreSQL. Collaborate with other team members, review code, and mentor junior engineers. Contribute to architectural proposals and ensure applications align with organizational goals and customer needs. This role requires 5+ years of software engineering experience, a relevant degree, and experience with client-server applications.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience working as a software engineer
• You have a degree in software engineering or related
• You have experience building client-server applications
• You can communicate with other teams to coordinate joint initiatives
• You can divide big tasks into smaller pieces and prioritize their execution
• English: half of the company doesn't speak Spanish and your job involves some written and spoken communication with people in other countries and time zones

Responsibilities

• Develop the next bunch of features of our Platform following the UX guidelines of our design team
• Write clean code and tests following the best practices to maintain our web applications on the front-end and back-end sides
• Review software code written by other team members to identify bugs and improve code quality
• Collaborate with the rest of the technical team to ensure applications align with the organization’s goals, as well as customer needs
• Mentoring and supporting more junior members of the team/company
• Produce and defend proposals for new architectures or to change and improve the current ones

Preferred Qualifications

• Javascript and VueJS, as it is our JS framework of choice, but you may also be proficient in another modern JS framework like React, Angular, or Svelte instead and that’s fine, we will help you get up to speed with VueJS (and you’ll love it!)
• Python and Django
• SQL and some database administration knowledge, mainly for PostgreSQL
