Senior Software Engineer

Summary

The job is for a Senior Software Engineer at PracticeTek, a healthcare technology company. The role involves working on frontend and backend solutions in a fast-paced startup-like environment with the tech stack including Vue, JavaScript, C#, .NetCore, SQL, and Azure as the cloud provider.

Requirements

• BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or related practical experience
• 6+ years experience working with modern web technologies
• 6+ years of experience in technology such as C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, SQL
• Experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining complex integrations with third-party services and SOAP and REST APIs
• Passion for product and code quality, and familiarity with current trends and best practices
• Ability to review code and architecture for flaws (code-smell), to mentor team members in appropriate coding and design patterns
• Experience with Agile methodologies such as scrum/kanban
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, common deployment models and infrastructure. (Azure DevOps preferred)
• Experience with Observability Tools like DataDog for troubleshooting and performance improvement

Responsibilities

• Work with a remote offshore agile team through complex and highly impactful projects
• Provide robust and stable software solutions to solve product needs
• Proactively document and address technical debt and see engineering initiatives through to completion
• Overseeing the execution of engineering initiatives such as emphasizing security and unit test coverage
• Improve the platform’s performance and stability by reviewing metrics to create action items and driving better coding standards
• Perform code reviews on peers’ pull requests ensuring standards are met and code quality is high
• Participate in daily standups, planning meetings, and help refine stories and understand requirements on use cases
• Cultivate strong partnerships with other interdependent engineering teams

Preferred Qualifications

Major plus if you have experience with Redis, SignalR, Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure

Compensation is reasonably expected to be between 60750-135000
