Senior Software Engineer

Summary

The job is for a Senior Software Engineer at PracticeTek, a healthcare technology company. Requirements

• BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or related practical experience
• 6+ years of experience working with modern web technologies
• 6+ years of experience in technology such as C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, SQL
• Experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining complex integrations with third-party services via SOAP and REST APIs

Responsibilities

• Work with a remote offshore agile team through complex and highly impactful projects
• Provide robust and stable solutions to solve product needs with a strong balance of quality and quantity
• Proactively document and address technical debt and see engineering initiatives through to completion
• Drive the technical vision and strategy, with a strong emphasis on overseeing its successful execution
• Improve the platform’s performance and stability by reviewing operational metrics and driving better coding standards
• Perform code reviews on peers’ pull requests ensuring standards are met and code quality is high
• Participate in daily standups, planning meetings, and help refine stories and understand requirements on use cases
• Cultivate strong partnerships with other interdependent engineering teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Passion for product and code quality, and familiarity with current trends and best practices
• Ability to review code and architecture for flaws (code-smell), to mentor team members in appropriate coding and design patterns
• Experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum and/or Kanban
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, common deployment models and infrastructure. (Azure DevOps preferred)
• Experience with Observability Tools like DataDog for troubleshooting and performance improvement
• Major plus if you have experience with Redis, NCache, Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure

Benefits

Compensation varies but we reasonably expect to pay between 60750-135000 for this position
