Senior Software Engineer

Summary

Join Coalition, a leading Active Insurance provider, as a Backend Engineering Lead in the Underwriting engineering organization. You will lead a team of backend engineers, building and maintaining a platform to evaluate and assess the risk of companies applying for Cyber Insurance. This platform integrates cutting-edge security data and proprietary sources to assess cyber risk. You will write backend services, design systems using business rules and AI, and improve the Underwriter user experience and automations. The platform uses Python and prioritizes selecting the most suitable tools for each task. You will work on a cross-functional team collaborating internally and externally. Responsibilities

• Writing scalable and clean code, write unit and integration tests, ship with high quality and confidence
• Create alerts, monitors and dashboards to ensure operational stability and observability
• Lead small projects independently or work with a team of engineers for medium-large projects, collaborating with stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with GenAI, Agents
• Golang
