Summary
Join Contentsquare's Data Privacy & Trust team as a Data Engineer, contributing to critical infrastructure ensuring responsible data usage. You will design, build, and optimize internal tools and systems for data governance, collaborate with various teams to ensure privacy compliance, and improve data pipeline performance. The ideal candidate possesses 4-5 years of software engineering experience, strong programming skills (preferably Golang, but others are welcome), and experience with distributed systems and cloud service providers. Fluency in English is required, and a strong background from tech-driven companies is preferred. Requirements
- 4β5 years of experience in software engineering, ideally with exposure to data platforms
- Strong programming skills β preferably in Golang, but Scala, Java, or Python backgrounds are welcome if the engineering mindset is strong
- Experience with distributed systems, data processing pipelines & cloud service providers (Experience with k8s, Clickhouse, AWS & Azure is a plus)
- An ability to think in terms of system design, efficiency, and scalability
- Fluent English (French or Spanish is a plus)
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and optimize internal tools and systems to enforce data governance at scale
- Work closely with security, legal, and platform teams to ensure data flows are privacy-compliant and observable
- Improve performance and reliability of data pipelines and backend services
- Collaborate on complex projects involving data protection, access control, and pipeline observability
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical roadmap decisions
