Summary

Join Cross River, a fast-growing financial technology company, as a Senior Software Engineer. You will play a key role in designing and building scalable data solutions using Palantir Foundry and AWS. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering, with a strong focus in the data engineering space
  • Proven experience with Palantir Foundry, Ontologies, applications, and workflows
  • Strong background working in AWS cloud environments (Lake Formation, Glue, ECR, ECS, EMR, IAM, S3, Cloud Watch, and others)
  • Experience using Git for version control and review processes
  • Strong programming skills, with Python preferred
  • Experience with Terraform for IaC
  • Very strong problem-solving skills and an enthusiasm around delivering working, performant, and operationally-stable solutions

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Palantir Foundry code bases for both batch and analytical processing
  • Advise on and participate in the governance and maintenance of a suite of Palantir-based ontologies and workflows
  • Interact with the Cross River data lake using AWS services and technologies including Lake Formation, Glue, Iceberg, Hive, ECS, and Managed Airflow
  • Work with Python to develop both in Palantir and in data pipelines feeding data into the lake
  • Implement or advise on infrastructure-as-code using Terraform
  • Collaborate with teams made up of Palantir personnel, Cloud Infrastructure Engineers, Data Engineers, and various business personnel to ensure business, security, and operational needs are met
  • Manage code and versioning effectively using code and data branching in Palantir, backed by Git
  • Participate in architectural discussions on workflow designs
  • Ensure best practices around development and documentation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Big Data skills centered around Spark
  • Familiarity with table partitioning best practices
  • Experience working with containers as part of your DevX
  • Agile experience in either a Scrum or Kanban setting
