Summary

Join Datadog's Real User Monitoring (RUM) SDK team and contribute to building the library installed by customers in their games. You will work closely with product, backend, and frontend teams to deliver a best-in-class performance monitoring product for games. This role requires strong experience with Unity or Unreal APIs and ecosystems, proficiency in C++, and a passion for code simplicity and performance. Requirements

  • You have strong experience with the APIs and ecosystem of Unity or Unreal. You are comfortable debugging complex issues in a variety of setups
  • You have relevant experience in developing code for Unity, Unreal or an in-house engine
  • You have experience shipping to Consoles and PCs
  • You are proficient in C++ and cross-compilation for various platforms
  • You value code simplicity and performance
  • You want to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment that values diversity of talent, excellence of product, and exciting engineering challenges at scale

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and write new components of Datadog's Unity and Native SDKs SDK
  • Support our growth into Unreal and other game engines, across all platforms (PC, XBox, Playstation, Switch and Mobile)
  • Work closely with the backend, frontend and product teams to deliver the best-in-class performance monitoring product for games
  • Contribute to the improvement our engineering tooling and practices
  • Write code in the public eye, being the face of Datadog inside the community
