Senior Software Engineer

Summary

Join Demandbase and help build the next-generation unified data platform! You will combine datasets from across the Demandbase ecosystem using open-source tools, solving complex data warehousing problems to ensure data quality and accessibility. You'll build batch and streaming data pipelines for ingestion, normalization, and analysis, developing standard design and access patterns for flexibility and growth. As a leader in data unification, you'll work with cross-functional teams to integrate with the unified platform. The role offers a competitive salary range of $131,000-197,000 and a comprehensive benefits package. Requirements

• Four-year degree in Computer Science, or related field OR equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience in software development roles
• Progressive experience in all of the following areas: At least one JVM language (Java, Scala, Kotlin, etc.)
• Building distributed systems including REST APIs at scale
• Strong SDLC principles (CI/CD, Unit Testing, git, etc.)
• Understanding of data strategies, articulate data analysis & data model design and evolve data products according to business requirements

Responsibilities

• Build backend services/applications to support seamless management and integration of Demandbase’s Unified Data Platform
• Build the next generation of Demandbase’s Unified Data Platform through a combination of data pipelines, APIs, internal tools and 3rd party/open source tooling
• Work closely with and support cross-functional teams integrating with our Unified Data Platform

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with “Lakehouse” technologies, particularly Iceberg or similar (DeltaLake, Hudi, etc)
• Experience working with data engineering teams and systems
• Open Source contribution experience
