Senior Software Engineer

Summary

Join Discord's Revenue Growth organization as a full-stack engineer to design, build, and maintain revenue-generating products for iOS, Android, and web platforms. Collaborate with various teams to understand user behavior and build impactful products. You will work closely with product managers, data scientists, and designers to launch products and marketing campaigns. This role requires 5+ years of software engineering experience with expertise in building consumer-facing products. The position offers a competitive salary, equity, and benefits, and is US-based only.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer and specialized in building and scaling consumer-facing products on web and mobile platforms
• Solid understanding of the development frameworks and fundamentals of one or more of our platforms: web (React, TypeScript), Android (React Native, Kotlin), iOS (React Native, Objective-C, Swift), and backend (Python and some Elixir)
• Strong product sense
• Maintain a high degree of empathy for your internal and external users, and seek feedback from them about your work

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain new Revenue products on our iOS, Android and Web apps
• Collaborate with engineers on the team, and other engineering teams such as Revenue Infrastructure & Core Product, to understand user behavior & needs and build products to drive Revenue
• Work collaboratively with PMs, Data Scientists and Designers to launch revenue products and bring marketing campaigns to life
• Architecture elegant and maintainable code with focus on autonomy and support from the team
• Uphold a high product and technical quality bar while quickly launching and iterating on features
• Introduce coding and operational best practices to the team; always be learning & teaching
• Work with analytics and experimentation frameworks to quickly experiment with revenue growth ideas and develop deeper understanding of the features we ship
• Own projects end to end — you’ll be responsible for working with Product and other stakeholders to refine requirements, creating technical designs and specs, implementing changes, and seeing projects through to launch and maintenance
