Senior Software Engineer

Summary

Join DISQO's metering team as a senior-level Software Engineer and contribute to the development and maintenance of data collection tools on the Android platform. Collaborate with a team of experts in various fields to power DISQO's Surf to Earn platform. While your primary focus will be Android development, you'll have opportunities to expand your skills and participate in broader projects. This remote-first role requires two on-site visits per month in Helsinki, with the potential for increased on-site work in the future. Requirements

• Knowledge of the Android ecosystem and technical knowledge of the platform
• Ability to leverage LLMs and other AI tools effectively
• Proven experience in software development
• Proficiency with git
• Experience with CI/CD
• Team player with a collaborative work style

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data collection tools on the Android platform
• Collaborate with other team members on larger projects

Preferred Qualifications

• Passion for application internals rather than UI design
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

• Expertise with Kotlin
• Experience building background apps with low resource utilization
• Practical knowledge of using AI on large datasets
• Familiarity with AWS Services (API GW, Lambda, DynamoDB, Kinesis, S3, IAM)
• Knowledge of automated testing on the Android platform
• Experience with TypeScript and the Node.js ecosystem
• Understanding of data ingestion and data schemas
• Ability to use Terraform to manage AWS Services and alerting & monitoring tools
