Senior Software Engineer

Summary

Join Financial Technology Partners (FT Partners) as a Senior Software Engineer and contribute to enhancing our internal web application, a comprehensive CRM, project management tool, and operational software suite. This fully remote role (Gurgaon/New Delhi only) requires expertise in Python, SQL, Django, and Django Rest Framework (DRF). You will build new functionality, audit and refactor code, implement tests, and collaborate on database infrastructure. The ideal candidate possesses 5+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years with Django and DRF, and a collaborative mindset. Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer in a web application environment (APIs, SPAs, CI/CD, Cloud infrastructure, Git)
• 2+ years with Django (and preferably DRF)
• Deep comfort querying using an ORM, including advanced annotation and pre-fetching

Responsibilities

• Build new functionality, models and APIs using Django Rest Framework
• Audit and refactor older parts of the codebase
• Implement unit and integration tests for stability and continuous delivery
• Assist with dependency versioning and security warnings
• Continuously audit and improve security. Keep the system clean and easy to review for security and stability
• Collaborate with engineering on database infrastructure, security and efficiency
• Contribute to team task visibility through participation in our ticket tracking system, daily standups and sprint planning
• Write code that is easy for other engineers to understand and expand on, through technology/library choices, code style (readability matters), and documentation

Preferred Qualifications

• Startup experience or flexibility in handling multiple responsibilities
• Familiarity with task queues
• Any DevOps / AWS experience a plus
