Senior Software Engineer

Summary

Join Galileo Financial Technologies as a Senior Software Engineer in Sandy, UT, or remotely. Requirements

• Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or closely related quantitative discipline
• Two (2) years of experience in job offered or in any occupation in a related field
• Git and Git workflows
• Cross-functional team collaborations
• REST Microservices
• Writing unit tests
• Database concepts and Postgres
• Relational Database Management Systems
• SQL
• Object-Oriented Programming languages including Python and Go
• Command line programing including Shell scripts
• Postman to test REST APIs

Responsibilities

• Build, test, and maintain backend software systems supporting Credit Card processing (e.g., authentication/authorization) services
• Participate in design and development of new architecture for existing and new services
• Work with clients to make improvements to existing backend systems and fix bugs
• Work with other engineers and provide feedback on code and backend design changes
• Work with Relationship managers to respond to client's queries about backend systems and work on bug fixes and enhancements
