Senior Software Engineer

Summary

Join our Frontend Platform Squad and contribute to building the best journeys for all of our users. We're looking for a talented individual to design, build, operate, and maintain critical systems, owning reliability, performance, and availability. As a remote position, we consider candidates based in the Canadian Eastern time zones.

Requirements

• Have a solid experience with building full stack applications (ideally using Go & React) using best practices, documentation and testing
• Have knowledge about the kubernetes architecture and how to build services on top of it
• Have experience with delivering projects from gathering requirements, brainstorming ideas all the way to shipping a product in a self-driven way
• Have experience with developing software that runs in the Cloud or some experience with systems engineering
• Be comfortable working in a remote-first company and understand the importance of communication
• Value autonomy and enabling decisions over committees and red tape
• Be eager to learn and grow. There is a lot of room for growth and development
• Know how to transform ideas into working code. You are able to design a solution, get feedback, and write a prototype by yourself
• Enjoy working on complex solutions

Responsibilities

• Design, build, operate, and maintain critical systems, owning the reliability, performance, and availability
• Work with your team to deliver new features, then use the results to iterate and improve
• Drive projects from initial ideation all the way to operations once it is in the hands of customers
• Take an active role in influencing our roadmap and your own career objectives
• Mentor and support other team members, participate in product discussions and collaborate with the team
