Senior Software Engineer

Summary

Join Wellhub, a corporate wellness platform, as a Senior Software Engineer on the Data Platform team in Brazil (remote). This team builds and maintains system components for data engineers and analysts, using open-source software, cloud infrastructure, and custom software. The role involves migrating data lake tables, autoscaling Trino, creating a GitHub App for schema management, and optimizing data lake tables. You will advocate for software quality, collaborate with other engineers and analysts, and share knowledge effectively. Requirements

• BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
• Solid experience with Python, Java, or similar
• Solid understanding of relational databases fundamentals and solid SQL skills (PostgreSQL preferred)
• Familiarity with Kafka, Pulsar, or RabbitMQ (Kafka preferred)
• Proficiency with Terraform, Pulumi, or Crossplane (Kubernetes experience desired)
• Experience with distributed systems and data-intensive applications
• Knowledge of analytical data warehouses
• Genuine interest in big data applications and their technology trends

• Advocate for improvements in software quality, security, and performance
