Senior Software Engineer

Summary

Join InMarket as a Senior Software Engineer and contribute to the transformation of the advertising industry. Working remotely (US only), you'll lead technical efforts on a high-throughput Java/SpringBoot system running on AWS and GCP. You'll tackle challenges in data processing, performance tuning, and system automation within our OpenRTB architecture. Requirements

• Solid CS fundamentals
• 5+ years experience in software development using Java
• Experience working with SpringBoot Framework
• Experience working with high performance databases (e.g. Aerospike), and traditional relational databases
• Experience working with distributed systems, data structures, concurrency
• Experience working with Kubernetes and Docker

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and help transform the advertising industry
• Work on a Java/SpringBoot based system running in AWS and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) that handles over half a million of requests per second
• Work on R&D projects and help influence the technology and direction we take innovating our platform
• Work on a number of interconnected projects and components all related to our OpenRTB architecture
• Address challenges including: high throughput data processing, performance tuning, and automating how various systems interact together
• Build real products that are ultimately used by millions of people
• Keep the business needs top of mind
• Understand the tradeoffs of cost, time, and efficiency when designing high-scale systems
• Mentor junior engineers and help others grow their careers
• Ensure code is continuously tested and released for fast feedback
• Communicate effectively and make sure decisions are made that satisfy multiple stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with Cloud Infrastructure (e.g. GCP, Terraform, AWS)
• Experience with large scale data processing (e.g. Stream processing)
• Experience running real time inference machine learning workloads
• Experience with the advertising industry and familiarity with OpenRTB
