Senior Software Engineer

Summary

The job is for a Senior Software Engineer at Juniper Square. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to build out features, designing and implementing SWIFT network integration, participating in project kickoffs and specifications, defining data models, implementing business logic, developing APIs, working on frontend frameworks, writing tests and code reviews, providing technical support, and managing production issues. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
• 5+ years of experience working with modern web application frameworks (preferably React, NestJs, FastAPI, & Federated GQL)
• Experience with service-oriented architecture

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional partners across product, design, and quality assurance teams to contribute to and build out features and capabilities
• Design and implement SWIFT network integration for a treasury cash management system
• Contribute to large, complex projects within the Product Team, providing technical reviews and execution
• Participate in project kickoffs and translate project requirements into technical specifications for implementation
• Define new and expand existing data models, including database schema and object models in the data access layer specific to the product
• Implement any required business logic in the service layer
• Define and implement GraphQL API endpoints, collaborating with other engineers
• Work on modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js) to enhance the user interface
• Write integration and unit tests for your code and perform code reviews for colleagues
• Be instrumental in the transition from our monolith into Service Oriented Architecture
• Provide technical support for stakeholder groups such as customer success
• Participate in monitoring, diagnosing, and addressing production issues

Preferred Qualifications

• Preffered experience with SWIFT payments
• Preferred experience in one of the following: Python/Typescript
• Preferred experience with kubernetes
• Solid understanding of server-side MVC frameworks (like Django, Rails, Pyramid etc.)
• Experience with SQL database schema design and query optimization is a plus
• Experience operating Linux clusters (Amazon Web Services is a plus)
