Requirements

• Strong full-stack capabilities, ideally in React, Python, and Django
• Proven success in high-ambiguity, fast-paced environments
• Experience with rapid prototyping, iterative development, and balancing speed with maintainable code
• Ability to execute without extensive guardrails, independently driving technical investigations and build vs. buy decisions
• High adaptability and resilience to setbacks, maintaining a positive, problem-solving mindset
• Excellent communication skills and comfort working on non-scrum, process-light teams

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the team to rapidly create and pilot innovative subtests, driving efficiency in evaluations
• Work on advanced features such as automated error analysis, intelligent scoring mechanisms, and insights from video feeds
• Work with psychometricians and data scientists to productionalize computerized adaptive testing and support research projects
• Contribute to infrastructure and research code, with opportunities to co-author peer-reviewed publications
• Help design and implement robust back-end systems to support MM and other research-driven initiatives

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience as a research engineer, founding engineer, or similar role is a strong plus
• Experience developing AI-based features or working with ML infrastructure is a bonus
