Remote Senior Software Engineer

Summary

Join Maven, a company building the university of tomorrow by creating the largest marketplace of expert-led cohort-based courses. As a Product Engineer, you'll collaborate with a small, highly skilled team to develop and improve our marketplace storefront, course platform, and data tooling. You'll work on projects such as building a new syllabus and project experience, creating personalized course recommendations, and architecting a unified notification system. The ideal candidate has experience shipping features to a real user base and is comfortable with a broad set of concerns related to building production web apps. Maven offers a remote-first work environment with in-person meetings four times a year, a salary range of $150-200k, strong equity, and benefits.

• Have shipped meaningful features to a real user base
• Be comfortable with a broad set of concerns that come with building production web apps on the client, server, and infra layers

Responsibilities

• Build a new syllabus and project experience with the TipTap editor
• Use embeddings and a deep understanding of students to generate quality personalized course recommendations and semantic search, and surfacing them in key moments and flows across the product
• Architect a unified notifications system to send students personalized nudges at the right times before, during, and after a course
