Senior Software Engineer

Summary

The job is for a mission-driven engineer with 5+ years of backend experience to work on POS integrations for the all-in-one platform Owner.com, which helps restaurants succeed online. The role is 100% remote and can be based anywhere in the United States or Canada.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend experience, with strong expertise in Node.js, Mongo, and AWS
• Previous experience with third-party API integrations (bonus points for POS systems experience)
• Comfortable working with and digging into external APIs, solving real-world challenges through integrations
• Proven track record of collaborating with product managers, designers, and business stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions
• Experience working at a product-focused startup/scale-up or technology company
• Dedicated to continuous professional development and possessing a lifelong-learner mindset

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop scalable, reliable POS integrations that enable restaurants to easily connect with our platform
• Streamline the creation of new native integrations, reducing time-to-market for new systems
• Improve monitoring and alerting for issues between our platform and POS systems, ensuring smooth operations
• Build fail-safe mechanisms to reduce order failure rates and optimize workflows for order fulfillment
• Refactor and modernize outdated integrations, ensuring performance, compatibility, and reliability
• Collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to simplify and enhance the integration setup process

Benefits
