Senior Software Engineer

Summary

Join Pinterest and build products and tools to help merchants organize and promote their product catalogs at scale. Lead the technical strategy and implementation of products to grow Pinterest's business. Design and implement reliable and user-friendly products for merchants and advertisers. Collaborate with various teams to shape product design and specifications. Mentor other engineers. This role allows for telecommuting. A Master's degree and two years of experience or a Bachelor's degree and five years of experience are required, along with specific skills in Java, Angular, React, JavaScript, and other technologies. The salary range is $206,315.00 - $237,513.00 per annum, and the position is eligible for equity.

Requirements

• Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering or other hard science discipline and two (2) years of experience in job offered or in any occupation in a related field
• Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering or other hard science discipline and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in job offered or in any occupation in a related field

Responsibilities

• Build the products and the tools to help merchants organize and promote their product catalog at scale
• Drive the technical strategy and lead the implementation of products, including new offerings to scale Pinterest business and grow the potential of the Pinterest platform
• Design and lead the implementation of highly reliable and easy-to-understand products for merchants and advertisers
• Help drive technical strategy for merchant catalog at Pinterest
• Collaborate with Design, Product, Data, and Engineering teams to find opportunities and shape product design and specifications
• Provide mentorship and guidance to other engineers on the team
