Senior Software Engineer

Summary

Join Quantum Metric as a Data Engineer and play a key role in enabling new product features through updates to our custom query layer. You will collaborate with the data team to build, extend, and monitor critical data pipelines, supporting Data Scientists and optimizing performance across our data stack. This remote-first position requires at least 5 years of software development experience, proficiency in SQL, data pipelines, and Golang, along with Google Cloud/BigQuery knowledge. Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of software development experience
• Demonstrated proficiency with SQL
• Demonstrated proficiency with data pipelines
• Proficient with Golang
• Google Cloud / Google Big Query knowledge

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior engineers to translate product requirements into technical specifications and help implement solutions that align with business objectives
• Design, implement, and optimize scalable and efficient data pipelines that can handle large volumes of data
• Continuously monitor and improve data pipelines for performance, reliability, and scalability
• Monitor data pipelines and systems for errors, bottlenecks, and failures, quickly diagnosing and resolving issues
• Ensure data systems are scalable, secure, and optimized for the organization’s needs, while maintaining flexibility for future growth
• Manage and optimize databases for performance, efficiency, and high availability
