Senior Software Engineer

Summary

Join Samsara's BLE platform team as a Senior Software Engineer and help shape the future of our mobile apps. You will architect and implement a BLE platform for Android and iOS, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure seamless integration with our hardware products. This remote position, open to Canadian residents, requires 7+ years of mobile development experience, including building BLE-enabled applications. You'll leverage your expertise to mentor junior developers and contribute to a high-quality developer experience. Requirements

• 7+ years of relevant industry experience in mobile development for iOS and/or Android
• Has built and shipped high-quality production mobile applications using either native or React Native frameworks
• Professional experience building BLE-enabled mobile applications to interface with hardware products
• Experience building and using observability tools, frameworks, and standards
• Strong leadership skills driving projects and working cross-functionally
• Strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive independent work
• Passion for exploring and experimenting with new technologies that improve our products for customers

Responsibilities

• Help shape the future of our mobile apps by architecting and implementing a BLE platform for Android and iOS that unlocks product features and delights our customers
• Work closely with the rest of the mobile team to improve our application architecture and development processes
• Partner with firmware and backend engineers on the design of the overall BLE architecture to ensure seamless integration with our hardware products
• Collaborate with full stack engineers to guide them through mobile-specific concerns as they plan and build customer-facing features
• Ensure a top-quality developer experience by improving the reliability and usability of our continuous integration, metrics collection, and mobile build systems
• Leverage your experience to mentor junior developers and level up the team
• Produce high-quality maintainable code, test, collaboratively review, and ship it
