Summary
Join SentinelOne's new backend-focused team within the Collection Engineering Group and play a key role in orchestrating end-to-end workflows used by incident response teams. Build and evolve backend systems powering RemoteOps and other collection workflows, lead technical projects from design to deployment, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Take ownership of complex challenges and deliver robust, high-performance solutions. Shape a new team, drive architectural decisions, and significantly impact SentinelOneβs core security platform. This is an exciting opportunity to be among the first backend specialists in the group, working with key technologies like Python, Kubernetes, Kafka, AWS, and GCP. Enjoy flexible hybrid work in Prague, Brno, or remotely across CZ/SK.
Requirements
- At least 4+ years of backend development
- Experience with high-performance micro-services-based backend systems
- Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages in a backend environment: Python
- Experience developing cloud-native solutions and data pipelines
- Experience working with databases (both SQL and NOSQL)
- Experience working with Dockers and Kubernetes
- Experience with AWS, GCP or other cloud platforms
- Strong capability to design a solution according to product requirements
- Great communication skills and ability to work in hybrid and\/or remote teams and lead projects
- Proven experience with developing unit\/component tests as part of the development process
Responsibilities
- Build and evolve the backend systems that power RemoteOps and other collection workflows
- Lead technical projects from design to deployment
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (agent, frontend, security research)
- Take ownership of complex challenges and deliver robust, high-performance solutions
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with Kafka ecosystem (pub/sub, Kafka connect, etc.)
- Experience with large scale management systems and performance
- Experience with Terraform / Terragrunt
- Experience with Rust, C++, Java, C#, or Similar
