Senior Software Engineer

Summary

Join SevenRooms as a remote Senior Fullstack Engineer (backend leaning) and become part of the Payments squad. You will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software focusing on customer-facing features. As a technical owner, you will manage features from design to implementation and ongoing support. You will also manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables, and participate in occasional on-call duties. The ideal candidate possesses a BS degree in Computer Science or a similar field, along with 4+ years of software engineering experience and experience developing web applications. Experience with Python and Reactjs, and payments experience are preferred. Requirements

• BS degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study or equivalent professional experience
• Experience developing web applications
• Experience with algorithms, data structures, complexity analysis and software design
• 4+ years of software engineering experience

Responsibilities

• Engineering: Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software with a strong focus on customer-facing features
• Product Focus: Be the technical owner of features, from design to implementation to ongoing support
• Project Management: Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, code quality and deliverables; Participate in occasional on-call duties to keep software systems up and running

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Python and Reactjs is preferred
• Payments experience preferred
