Summary
Join Sezzle as a Senior Software Engineer and contribute to the development of innovative, scalable, and high-quality front-end applications. Work with a highly motivated team to solve challenging problems, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with stakeholders across the organization. This role requires extensive experience in full-stack software engineering, specifically with React, and a deep understanding of front-end architecture. You will design, develop, and deliver new features, while also focusing on continuous improvement and A/B testing. Requirements
- At least 7 years of full-stack software engineering experience
- Experience bringing new ideas and building consensus on the path forward
- Experience with building and serving single page applications (SPA)
- Experience working in a distributed, cloud-based architecture, with knowledge of CloudFront or other CDNs
- BS in Computer Science or similar degree, or equivalent work experience
- Experience building custom ESM including refactoring CJS
Responsibilities
- Design software applications that focus on best practices with React web, ESM, Storybook, component architecture, and Material UI (MUI)
- Help deliver applications that focus on scalability with components and front-end architecture
- Coordinate with internal company stakeholders to design market winning products
- Develop and collect metrics to drive continuous improvement of existing products
- Deliver high quality A/B tests using trusted 3rd party platforms to test usage hypotheses
- As needed, lead small development teams to bring a project to market
- Mentor other engineering teammates to help elevate their experience and knowledge
- Be a thought leader for the front-end implementation across various teams with different experience levels
Preferred Qualifications
- Deep experience with React web, API utilization, and front-end architecture
- Comfortable using observability platforms like Prometheus, or vendor solutions like NewRelic or Datadog to instrument your code for production monitoring and alerting
- MUI experience including custom component life cycle management
- Familiarity with containerized micro-service architecture deployed with Kubernetes on AWS
- Demonstrated history of delivering commercial APIs and web applications
- A clear record of getting products to market and prioritizing solutions and improvements based on stakeholder/customer feedback
- Have exceptionally high standards for ensuring quality code is being delivered
