Summary

Join Supermetrics as a Senior Backend Engineer (PHP) and be a key player in driving product innovation. This permanent, full-time role (no B2B contracts) can be based in our Helsinki HQ or fully remote from Finland, Poland, Spain, Lithuania, or the UK. You will develop new features, collaborate with product and design teams, participate in code reviews, and improve system monitoring. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of backend experience (PHP) in a SaaS environment, experience with API integrations, and a strong understanding of software testing and design. Requirements

  • 5+ years of back-end experience (PHP) in a production environment, preferably building a SaaS product
  • Experience working with API integrations
  • Ability to conduct unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing
  • Strong understanding of architecture & software design
  • Strong grasp of the software testing discipline
  • Understanding of security best practices
  • Experience collaborating directly with product teams and designers
  • Detailed orientated with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communication skills, fluent in English is a must
  • Ability to give effective feedback

Responsibilities

  • Develop new features and functionalities to our products
  • Close collaboration and interaction with other product teams
  • Work closely with the design team to ensure an amazing user onboarding and experience
  • Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality standards
  • Support and share knowledge with your colleagues
  • Improving systems monitoring and alerting
  • Utilizing existing monitoring tools to ensure system stability

Preferred Qualifications

Understanding of monitoring tools and ability to interpret monitoring data. This includes tools such as Datadog, OpenSearch, Grafana, etc., which are used to track application performance and system metrics
