Senior Software Engineer

As a GenAI Engineer, you will design, build, and improve our products by implementing and integrating generative AI technologies. You will develop and maintain applications leveraging large language models and vector databases, implementing prompt engineering strategies and RAG systems to solve real business problems. Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience in software engineering and system design
• Strong programming skills (especially in OOP) with Python and familiarity with modern software development practices
• Experience implementing and deploying production-grade applications and services
• Familiarity with API integration, especially with AI/ML models or services
• Hands-on experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) or open-source models
• Ability to learn quickly and dive deep into new technologies and paradigms
• Ability to communicate concepts clearly and interface with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to prioritize and solve issues according to the team’s direction and goals

Responsibilities

• Contribute to designing, building, evaluating, shipping, and improving Sword’s products through hands-on GenAI implementation and integration
• Develop and maintain applications and services that leverage large language models, vector databases, and other generative AI technologies
• Implement prompt engineering strategies, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems, and other GenAI patterns to solve real business problems
• Work alongside the Product Managers, ML Engineers, Backend Engineers and Frontend Engineers to define and implement AI-powered features for internal and external users

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience implementing vector databases and similarity search for RAG applications
• Experience building data processing pipelines or ETL workflows
• Knowledge of prompt engineering patterns and best practices
• Interest in healthcare technology and improving patient outcomes through innovation
