Summary

Join Tebra as a Senior Software Engineer and play a key role in developing and enhancing our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. You will be responsible for designing and implementing C-CDA solutions, building FHIR integrations, and creating integrations with Health Information Exchange (HIE) systems. This role requires expertise in Java, Spring Framework, and cloud technologies such as GCP and Kubernetes. You will also participate in code reviews, deployments, and on-call rotations. The position offers telecommuting flexibility with a headquarters in Corona Del Mar, CA, but work from home is permitted at various unanticipated worksite locations throughout the United States. The salary range is $176,134 - $180,000 per year.

Requirements

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree or foreign equivalent in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field, plus five (5) yearsโ€™ post-baccalaureate experience as Software Engineer or related role
  • Experience must include at least five years of experience with each of the following: Requirement Gathering and Analysis; Design and Develop Scalable Healthcare Applications; Legacy System Migration to Modern Platforms; Implement Cloud-Native Architectures; Optimize and Secure Data Workflows for Patient Data; Implement and Manage Application Performance Monitoring (APM) for Healthcare Systems; Build and Manage Audit Logging Systems for Healthcare Compliance; On-Call Support and Incident Management

Responsibilities

  • Developing back-end components utilizing Java and Spring Framework to adhere to interoperability and regulatory requirements for the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
  • Writing production-grade code with the comprehensive unit, integration, and acceptance tests
  • Designing and implementing Consolidated Clinical Document Architecture (C-CDA) solutions
  • Building and enhancing Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) integration with SmileCDR
  • Creating integrations with Health Information Exchange (HIE) systems
  • Participating in code reviews
  • Deploying software to production using TeamCity/Harness
  • Design and development of infrastructure to support complex workflows and migrate from legacy systems to cloud-based solutions
  • Transitioning on-premise workloads to the Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Migrating applications to containerized environments utilizing Docker
  • Implementing container orchestration systems with Kubernetes
  • Shifting to cloud-managed solutions such as Google Cloud Storage (GCS), Pub/Sub, and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
  • Developing technical design documents
  • Translate business requirements into software solutions
  • Research potential solutions and propose best solution
  • Identifying bottlenecks
  • Developing architecture and workflow diagrams
  • Effort estimation
  • Supporting the various projects owned by the Interops & Regulatory team
  • Participating in the on-call rotation
  • Developing dashboards in Sumo, Wavefront and Datadog
  • Developing email and Opsgenie alerts
  • Developing user interface components utilizing JavaScript and React to adhere to interoperability and regulatory requirements for the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
  • Participating in planning, review, and retrospective of each development cycle
