Senior Software Engineer

Summary

You will work closely with designers and stakeholders, build and maintain integrations, and lead debugging efforts. The ideal candidate possesses strong backend coding experience and a familiarity with the specified tech stack.

Requirements

• A university degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent
• 5-10 years of backend coding experience, building modern cloud-native applications
• Strong affinity with our tech stack of Typescript, Node.js, Graphql, MySQL, DynamoDB, Serverless, AWS, Kafka
• Experience integrating with third party systems
• In-depth knowledge of core browser concepts and responsive web design
• Practical knowledge of modern API architecture, microservices, and event-driven design
• Fluency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Organized and thorough with a commitment to quality
• Results-oriented, with data-driven decision-making and a focus on delivering impactful outcomes
• Preference for a remote working environment, collaborating closely with peers within the EMEA timezone

Responsibilities

• Work in a team environment: contribute to team tasks and goals; follow team processes (Scrum) and rituals
• Work closely with designers and business stakeholders to bring the best solutions to end users
• Build and maintain integrations with third party systems and our core product used by clients, testers, and members of Testlio’s Delivery team
• Do technical design of full stack system components that fit into long-term architecture, addressing all the functional and non-functional requirements
• Build and implement performant, scalable, and quality products, in an iterative approach
• Write quality code, push for high standards, conduct code reviews
• Write automated tests and conduct manual testing of changes
• Lead debugging and root cause analysis of complex problems, and offer solutions
• Help and mentor other team members, proactively share and document knowledge

Preferred Qualifications

• React experience is a plus
• Experience in writing automated tests is a strong plus
• AI/ML experience is a plus
• AWS Solutions Architect certification is a plus
