Senior Software Engineer

Summary

Join Valimail, a leading email authentication company, as a Senior Software Engineer. You will contribute to the development of our Enforce, Align, and Monitor products using Ruby on Rails and/or Golang. Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in building production web applications
• Significant experience in Ruby on Rails or Go; exposure to the other
• Ability and desire to learn and develop in different programming languages
• Proficient understanding of how to write, analyze and optimize PostgreSQL
• Experience developing RESTful APIs
• Desire to continuously improve
• Comfort and ability to operate in a remote environment while effectively collaborating with others

Responsibilities

• Collaborate in a stable high performance software system
• Write scalable, robust, testable, efficient, and easily maintainable code
• Build and maintain applications in fullstack Ruby on Rails or Go
• Implement features and fixes working hand-in-hand with cross functional teams
• Help to cultivate a culture of technical excellence, communication, celebration, and learning
• Improve development processes by identifying inefficiencies in workflows and providing effective, measurable solutions
• Collaboratively define, scope, prioritize, and estimate work demonstrating business need and impact
• Provide technical expertise throughout the product life cycle including design, implementation, and delivery of scalable build/test/release infrastructure

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Hotwire, React, Redis, RSpec, Sidekiq, PostgreSQL, AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes
